IT'S ALL ABOUT THE SPICE
An evening of fire, forging and spicy dishes with guest chef Rhys Perry.
Rhys has been a private chef for over 20 years . He takes inspiration from Middle Eastern and Moorish cooking, where flame, smoke and spice shape the food and flavours. His dishes are rooted is seasonal ingredients, exotic spices, open fire and the simple pleasure of sharing a meal.
We will kick off with a complimentary cocktail and a demonstration from Alex in the forge - he'll be attempting to forge a heavy duty Mortar & Pestle ready for Rhys to use in the kitchen as well as answering any metal related questions.
We will then move to the outdoor fire kitchen for a talk from Rhys who will takes us through a wide variety of spices, flavours and different cookery styles in some exciting dishes (and probably a few more drinks) as well as answering any questions you have about different spices and their uses.
This is a social event (not a sit down dinner) where guests can get involved with the prep and cooking over fire, ask questions and learn more about the craft of blacksmithing , the food world and different cooking techniques and styles. The Forge shop will also be open on the night for all things kitchen related.
