MEAT CLUB 03 - SHEEP
APRIL 16th 2026
LAMB | HOGGETT | MUTTON
An evening of fire, forging and with chef TIM GIBB from ASADO FIRE KITCHEN and guest ZOE WINLOW from WESTHAY FARM.
This month we will be exploring all things Ovine ... Does Lamb taste the best ? What is Hoggett ? What's the best way to cook Mutton ? ... and tasting the differences.
Tim has been cooking up feasts over flames for many years and is one our most respected local chefs. He is the founder of Asado Fire Kitchen where flame meets flavour, creativity meets craftsmanship, and every gathering becomes an experience. Whether it’s a roaring feast with friends, a cosy dinner by firelight, or a grand celebration, we bring the heat - literally. No ovens. Just big fires, bold food, and unforgettable moments that your guests will talk about long after the last ember fades.
We will kick off with a complimentary cocktail and a demonstration in the forge - Alex will be forging skewers and other bits and pieces ready for Tim to use in the kitchen as well as answering any metal related questions.
We will then move to the outdoor fire kitchen for the cookery and a talk from Zoe about her farming methods. Having grown up in London, Zoe now runs her family's former dairy farm in East Devon. She is passionate about producing pasture only lamb, Hoggett and mutton as well as promoting regenerative farming systems.
This is a social event , not a sit down dinner , where our guests can get involved with the prep and cooking over fire, ask questions and learn more about the craft of blacksmithing , the food world and different cooking techniques and styles.
KEEP THE FIRES BURNING
