Spend two days forging your own chef’s knife, ready to take it home and start cooking!
DAY 1 – Warm-up session - learning about the tools, the fire and forging nails. Followed by forging high carbon steel (EN42j) to make your knife blank.
In the afternoon we start heat treating cycles ready for hardening and grinding.
DAY 2 – The morning will be spent blade profiling, heat treating and grinding. The afternoon is all about handle fitting and final sharpening.
You will go home with a beautiful, fully personalised chef’s knife that is ready to use.
Some previous experience is recommended for this course.
